This despite the fact that we had both seen its listing several times before during our own on online searches, but because of the lack of photographs and the spare amount of information on it, felt like it probably wasn’t right for us. However, given that it was exactly in our desired neighborhood and budget, Joshua strongly encouraged us to at least check it out, and he was absolutely right. We knew by the end of our first walk-through that it was the house for us. When it came time just this spring to sell that home, there was no question that we would use Joshua to do so. His pictures were unbelievably good, even of the home’s rather nondescript exterior (a total mismatch for its much more finished interior), and we had multiple offers over asking within just days of the listing going live. And in the meantime, Joshua helped us negotiate a much better purchase price on our current home than we expected to get it for. One final word. Fleas. Joshua had to throw away a perfectly stylish pair of Vans after spending too much time with us in an abandoned (and raccoon infested) property we were hoping to renovate. He literally dunked them into a nearby river to clear the swarming fleas and they were never the same after. The various dealings to purchase that abandoned property went on and on for months, with Joshua’s enthusiasm for, and support of, that project never- once waning. That particular purchase was unfortunately not to be, but Joshua’s determined and gracious approach was very appreciated during a difficult period of waiting. I don’t think we’re done buying or selling property in Rhode Island, and I can’t imagine ever trusting the process to anyone other than Joshua Deaner.”
