I am a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Rhode Island. I have more than 24 years of real estate experience and have successfully sold more than $125 million dollars of real estate.

I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Greater Providence Board of Realtors, and on the Board of the Sandra Bornstein Holocaust Educational Center.

From trading baseball cards as a young boy to closing contracts on home sales,I have a passion for making deals and connecting with clients. I found the thrill of real estate in 2002, and fine-tuned my real estate knowledge and professional skills as an Agent in a boutique real estate firm in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Longing to return to my New England roots, in 2008 I relocated to Providence, RI. I later founded The Rhode Guide Real Estate Co., and opened an office on Hope Street in 2013. In 2020, I merged my company with Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty. In 2026, I decided to re open The Rhode Guide Real Estate Co. as a one person operation to offer my clients a personal “shop small” real estate experience. 

I love bringing my creative eye and keen design sense to help my clients imagine the potential to make any home uniquely theirs. I am a skilled fine art photographer JoshuaDeaner.com  and have exhibited worldwide. I’m also an experienced home renovator and have been highlighted on ApartmentTherapy.com and was featured on HGTV.  Additionally, I am a real estate investor who owns and manages a four family property on Providence’s West Side. I make my home on the East Side of Providence with my wife and son. We love exploring Rhode Island for the best cafes, restaurants and antique shops. My family also enjoys getting away to our country home in Little Compton, RI, which we renovated and rent out on Airbnb LittleComptonModern.com.
